Mintimer Shaimiev holds an offsite meeting on construction of a new hotel complex in Bolgar
On 2 June the Chairman of the Tatarstan Committee on Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites Ivan Guschin, the Executive Director of the Regional Revival Fund Zulfiya Sungatullina, the Head of the Spassk municipality Fargat Mukhametov and the Director of the Bolgar State Museum-Reserve Ramil Ziganshin took part in an offsite meeting held at the construction site of a new hotel complex by the Tatarstan State Counselor, the Chairman of the Regional Revival Fund Guardian Council Mintimer Shaymiyev who came on working trip to Bolgar.
In the beginning of the current year the administration of the republic took a decision to build a new three-star hotel because of the growing number of visitors of the Bolgar Historical and archeological Complex and the shortage of hotel rooms. Last year 830 thousand tourists and pilgrims visited Bolgar and from the beginning of the current year the reserve accepted more than 155 thousand guests.
At the meeting the Deputy Director General of the Tatinvestgrazhdanstroy institution Khaydar Hasyanov made a presentation of the hotel complex project which presupposes 185 suits to accommodate 300 people and the investor Rodion Kazmaly informed that it is planned to commission the hotel by summer 2024.
After the meeting Mintimer Shaimiev also visited the renovated tent camp in the Bolgar Historical and archeological Complex.
