Rustam Minnikhanov and Mintimer Shaimiev unveil a memorial plaque to the state and public figure of Tatarstan Mansur Khasanov

On October 3, on Bauman street in Kazan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, the Head of the Administration of the Rais of the republic Asgat Safarov, the regional Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva, Tatarstan  Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova and the President of the regional Academy of Sciences Rifkat Minnikhanov took part in a solemn ceremony of unveiling the memorial plaque to the state and public figure of Tatarstan Mansur Khasanov.

The initiator of the installation of the memorial plaque is the Union of Writers of Tatarstan. The author of the memorial plaque is sculptor Timofey Tyurin.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan emphasized that Mansur Khasanov has a rich work biography - he spent many years conducting scientific and pedagogical activities, worked in party and Soviet bodies, made a great contribution to the development of national education, healthcare, science and culture, physical education and sports and journalism.

The memorial plaque on the walls of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan, where Mansur Khasanov worked for a long time, is a sign of recognition of the scientist’s great merits, a tribute to his invaluable contribution to the common cause.

Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev also emphasized the great merit of Mansur Khasanov in the establishment of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan, his impeccable authority in the regional and Russian scientific environment. “He was a man devoted to his work.  He devoted his life to serving science and education,” Shaimiev said.

The son of Mansur Khasanov, Bulat, thanked all those who took part in the appearance of the memorial plaque on the building of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan, where Khasanov worked for many years.
