On March 25 at his meeting with Russian Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky, Tatarstan State Counsellor and Chairman of Guardian Council of “Revival” Regional Foundation, Mintimer Shaimiev showed the stand and models of buildings of cultural and historical project “Cultural heritage: ancient town of Bolgar and island town of Sviyazhsk”.
Vladimir Medinsky knows a lot about the project that is being implemented with the auspices of Russian Ministry of Culture. He visited Bolgar and Sviyazhsk in November 2012. At today’s meeting he asked about new activities of “Revival” Foundation.
Mintimer Shaimiev told Vladimir Medinsky about current cooperation between Tatarstan and UNESCO Committee on inclusion of Bolgar and Sviyazhsk in the World Heritage List. They also discussed cooperation between Tatarstan and Russian Ministries of Culture in the sphere of protection and use of objects of cultural and historical heritage.
Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Aide to Tatarstan President on social issues, CEO of “Revival” Foundation Tatyana Larionova, Tatarstan Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin, and Head of Tatarstan Tourism Agency Sergey Ivanov took part in the meeting.
On 28 December the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov handed in the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev the Letter of Appreciation from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
On 20 December at his meeting with the Director General of the Grid Company of the republic Ilshat Fairdieyv in the Kazan Kremlin on the eve of the Day of the Energy Worker, Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated him not only with the holiday but also with 25th years of his work in the energy system of the republic.
On December 9, the State Counselor of Tatarstan, the Hero of Labour of Russia Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated Tatarstan residents on the Heroes of the Fatherland Day.
On 28 November in the Kazan Kremlin the Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev had a meeting with the First President of the Republic of Ingushetia, the Hero of the Soviet Union, the Russian state, military and public leader Ruslan Aushev.
