Session of Tatarstan Security Council held at the Kazan Kremlin

The programme of oil, gas and chemical complex development for 2015-2019 was considered and approved at a session of Tatarstan Security Council at the Kazan Kremlin today.

Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of State Council Farid Mukhametshin, permanent members of the Security Council, heads of ministries and agencies, territorial federal agencies and regional enterprises took part in the session.

Opening the event, Rustam Minnikhanov said that it is the fourth programme of oil, gas and chemical complex development in the republic that was developed within the framework of the Strategy of social and economic development of Tatarstan till 2030.

He noted that there are all prerequisites for increasing the share of Tatarstan petrochemical enterprises in the market. Moreover, the current economic situation in the country suggests realization of import substitution projects.

“Integration of enterprises and sectors of the industry, development of the unified system helped us to reactivate work of industrial sectors in a short time and become the leading region in the country in terms of development of chemical enterprises,” Minnikhanov said.
