Mintimer Shaimiev meets Vladimir Churov

On November 30, at their meeting at the Kazan Kremlin Tatarstan State Counsellor Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Revival Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev and Chairman of Russian Election Commission discussed issues related to preparing the election of deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the 7th convocation to take place in Russia on the single voting day, September 18, 2016.

Before the meeting, Churov was told on the course of the implementation of Tatarstan cultural and historical project called “Cultural Heritage: the Ancient Town of Bolgar and Island-Town of Sviyazhsk”, as well as on other projects of the Revival Foundation.

Churov told Shaimiev that he held meetings in Kazan as Chairman of the Academic Board of the Russian Military-Historical Society, sharing his impressions from an earlier meeting with historians and local studies specialists in Kazan at Kazan Federal University’s Lobachevsky library. In September, the society set up a regional branch in Kazan.

He noted that the Russian Military – Historical Society planned to arrange a presentation of the book “The history of Tatars from antiquity in 7 volumes”, recently published by the History Institute of Mardzhany Tatarstan Academy of Sciences.

Chairman of Tatarstan Central Election Commission Ekzam Gubaidullin and Tatar Nobility Assembly representative in Moscow Ildar Utyamyshev took part in the meeting.
