Mintimer Shaimiev meets Svetlana Alekseeva

On January 23, at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of Board of Trustees of Revival regional foundation Mintimer Shaimiev had a meeting with Deputy Head of Federal Service for Veterinary And Phytosanitary Surveillance Svetlana  Alekseeva, who arrived in Kazan to take part in a joint meeting on summarizing results of activities of Tatarstan Department of Federal Service for Veterinary And Phytosanitary Surveillance and State Veterinary Service of the republic in 2016 and setting tasks for 2017.

Before the meeting, Executive Director of Revival Foundation, Deputy Chairman of State Counsellor of the republic Tatyana Larionova had told the guest about the cultural and historical project of federal significance "Cultural heritage: ancient town of Bolgar and island town of Sviyazhsk", and work that have been done for seven years in these ancient cities with the assistance of the Revival Foundation. She also told her about the creation of the Bolgar Islamic Academy and reconstruction of the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in Kazan.

At the beginning of the meeting with Mintimer Shaimiev Svetlana  Alekseeva expressed her admiration with the results of the activities of the Revival Foundation in terms of preservation of cultural and historical heritage, and told him about her intention to visit Bolgar and Sviyazhsk this summer.

On behalf of Head of Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Sergey Dankvert  Alekseeva congratulated Shaimiev on his 80th anniversary and thanked him for many years of successful cooperation.

The meeting discussed issues related to food security in the republic and the country in general, and some other topics of the upcoming joint meeting.
