Mintimer Shaimiev speaks at meeting of heads and regional managers of VTB24 Bank

On March 2, at the request of Board Chairman of VTB24 Bank Mikhail Zadornov, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev spoke at a meeting of heads and regional managers of VTB24 at Korston Entertainment Complex in Kazan.

In particular, Shaimiev told about main political and economic events during the perestroika era, successfully implemented social projects, achievements in oil, petrochemical and agricultural sectors, in the field of information technology and modern innovative development of the republic under the leadership of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

He also briefed the guests about projects being implemented under the auspices of the Revival Regional Fund, including the restoration of  ancient historical cities of Bolgar and Sviyazhsk, the construction of the Bolgar Islamic Academy and reconstruction of the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.

Zadornov thanked Shaimiev for his interesting and informative report, noting that the model of development of Tatarstan and the unique managerial experience of its first President may serve as an example in many spheres of activity, including banking.
