Mintimer Shaimiev holds meeting in Bolgar

On July 28, State Counsellor of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Board of trustees of the Revival foundation Mintimer Shaimiev visited Bolgar historical and archeological complex and held a meeting on issues of construction of Kul Gali hotel and improvement of the Volga River embankment.

The foundation stone of the hotel was laid on April 27, 2015 with the participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The project investors are Tatneft PJSC and TAIF OAO.

Director General of the contracting organization OOO “Gran” Leonid Anisimov told that the construction is underway, the façade is nearly finished and the interior works are being done.

Mintimer Shaimiev also visited the archive of epigraphical monuments and walked along riverside that is being improved under the auspices of the Revival foundation by agreement with UNESCO Word heritage committee.  

Mintimer Shaimiev talked to participants of the International camp of volunteers under the auspices of UNESCO that opened in the morning. The camp is organized by the Resource center “World cultural heritage” of Kazan Federal University under the auspices of the Revival foundation. The camp is one of 50 volunteer camps under the auspices of UNESCO that were organized in 2017 in 32 countries around the world.
