JSC Kamaz takes part in the International Security National Resilience show, ISNR 2010, in Abu Dhabi. The auto giant for the first time displays its products at the exhibition. Potential partners and consumers will view special vehicles which package considers the local customers’ specifics. The exhibits include the Kamaz 6460 line haul tractor trucks, upgraded Kamaz 53229 truck, complete with an armoured cabin and a van, and the upgraded Kamaz 53606 truck with a tent wire frame. JSC Kamaz held a presentation of its new service centre within the show in Abu Dhabi.

RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov took part in XXXIV session of Council of Almetyevsk municipal region and Almetyevsk city Council. Republican ministers, deputies of RF State Duma and RT State Council, representatives of Tatarstan committees and departments also presented at the meeting.

Head of Executive committee of Almetyevsk region Mansur Khafisov made a key report on activity of the region. RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov briefly told about economic results of republic in 2009. On finishing work of session Head of RT Government presented a number of state awards.
On February 27 in the Kazan State Medical University dissertation council room, representatives from the Interregional Clinical Diagnostics Centre, ICDC, attended a round table discussion on establishing a training-research-clinical unit. At the round table meeting, staff members from KMU delivered reports; the meeting discussed the prospective setup of a working group for preparing the training research and clinical unit. The purpose of establishing the unit is to solve fundamental medical problems existing for the moment. The solution had been proposed by the Russian Academy of Sciences Kazan Research Centre, Interregional Clinical Diagnostics Centre and Kazan State Medical University. The signing of a trilateral agreement will benefit all three organisations.
The Kamaz auto plant in February manufactured 2,102 vehicles, including 22 vehicles sets for semi-knock down assembly. The figure is bigger than in January in average 18 percent and is 30 percent bigger than the same result in February 2009. In total, over the 2 months of 20010, Kamaz has produced 1,100 trucks more than in 2009. JSC Kamaz Diesel delivered to customers 2,425 engines and power plants, including 2,061 units for the auto plant’s main assembly line. This is nearly 20 percent more than in January 2010, and 3 percent more as compared with February 2009.
Famous Russian tennis player Marat Safin, who finished his professional career last year, says he is ready to be the ATP tournament director if the competition takes place in Kazan. “I would do this with pleasure. It’s very interesting. The matter gets help on one thing p the tournament director can organize it, but cannot invest his own money,” Marat Safin said answering the question about possibility of becoming the ATP tournament director in Kazan.
The preliminary entry-list of the Russian team at the World Indoor Championship in Athletics was determined at a session of the All-Russian Athletics Federation presidium. The world championship will be held on March 12-14 in Doha, Qatar. Kazan athlete, silver prize-winner of Beijing Olympics Yelena Migunova has been included in the team for participation in 4x400 metres relay race. Y. Celebrations dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Centre for developing cultural relations between Tatarstan and India was held in Kazan on February 27. The final stage of the Republican Festival of Folk Art “Shringara” was organized with participation of about 100 performers. A selling exhibition of souvenirs, textile, spices and Ayurvedic medicine from India opened at the cultural centre of Tatarstan Internal Affairs Ministry on February 27. A gala-concert of the Republican Folk Art Festival “Shringara” winners took place in the evening.

The Porte de Versaille exhibition centre in Paris has today hosted the launch of the Salon International de L’Agriculture 2010 agricultural show. President of France Nicolas Sarkozy officially opened the exhibition. Russian Minister of Agriculture Yelena Skrynnik represented Russia at the ceremony. Salon International de L’Agriculture 2010 is one of the largest shows in Europe and is held for the 47th time. The show will run until March 7, 2010.

According to the Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture, Tatarstan is represented by the deputy Prime Minister, Agriculture Minister Marat Akhmetov, Cabinet of Ministers department of agribusiness management, land relations and consumer market chief Anatoly Krasnov, State Duma deputy Airat Khairullin, Vamin Tatarstan general director Vagiz Mingazov, Tatpotrebsoyuz board chairman Makhmut Fattakhov, Sabin municipal district head Rais Minnikhanov and other officials.

Kamaz and Sollers have been included on the list of manufacturers of autos and road construction equipment from whom state customers will in 2010 purchase products for state needs. The total list, approved by a Government of Russia’s resolution, includes 20 auto manufacturers. The companies on the list that have production facilities inside Tatarstan are Sollers Yelabuga, with the autos Fiat Ducato, Severstal Auto Isuzu, manufacturing Isuzu trucks, Sollers Naberezhnye Chelny, with Fiat and Ssang Yong, and Kamaz, who will be bought trucks and special vehicles on chassis from.

Officials from the Tatarstan Labour Ministry, Committee for Housing and Utilities and Kazan executive committee and President of Tatarstan State Housing Fund answered questions from the veterans.
