Stable yard to become a touristic centre of island town Sviyazhsk

January,12. Tatarstan State Counsellor and Chairman of Guardian Board of Republican fund of historical and cultural monuments Mintimer Shaimiev held a meeting on using complex of buildings of Stable yard in island town Sviyazhsk. By his words currently many objects restored or built upon the project “Tatarstan cultural heritage: ancient town of Bolgar and island town Sviyazhsk” are being commissioned and it is rather important to define forms and ways of their efficient usage, and organizations that will be engaged in objects’ operation.
“These historical towns should appear before tourists and pilgrims in the best condition, we should show the example of modern high-quality touristic service”, Mintimer Shaimiev said noting that a stable yard should become the touristic centre of the island town. The use of Stable yard, which restoration is nearly finished was discussed at the meeting.
We remind JSC Tatspirtprom has been involved in restoration and development of the Stable yard complex. The object is a property of RT Ministry of land and property relations and represents separate premises and buildings meant for creating touristic ethnographic recreation complex for guests, citizens, and visitors of any age and social status. Work of the Complex will be based on national Russian traditions, legends and special features of Sviyazhsk.
According to Mintimer Shaimiev Fund “Vozrozhdenie” was very demanding towards selection of organizations involved in restoration and use of the mentioned objects.
Heads of several organizations told about the working plan in the Stable yard. Director of Tatarstan Association of craftsmen Damir Gibadullin informed the best well-known in Republic craftsmen had been selected for craft workshop. According to Director of “Admiral” company Georgy Pokrovsky engaged in organization of work in a restaurant and guest house, excellent recreation and catering services will be provided to the guests. A souvenir shop headed by Director-general of OOO “Fenix” Lidiya Nikulina will offer hand-made souvenir and gift items.
Deputy director of OOO “Kazan hippodrome” Rif Demiev said the organization is ready to start using the stable and manege.
Mintimer Shaimiev said he hopes that ideas of the Fund “Vozrozhdenie” will be all realized and wished organizations having been involved in the project good luck.
Attendees at the meeting were RT Minister of land and property relations Azat Khamaev, RT Minister of culture Airat Sibagatullin, Aide to RT President on social issues, CEO of RT fund of historical and cultural monuments Tatyana Larionova and other officials.
On 20 January in the evening Russian President Vladimir Putin called Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev and congratulated him with his birthday. During the conversation Vladimir Putin stated that he is happy to hear bright voice of Mintimer (Sharipovich) and wished him good health and all the best.
On 20 January, congratulating Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev with his birthday, the Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin wrote in his telegramme: “Being a famous and political leader, you have made a substantial contribution into modern development of Tatarstan and have earned the deep respect and gratitude of residents of the republic.
On January 20, the First President of Tatarstan, State Counsellor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev celebrates its 89 birthday.
He received numerous congratulations from the state and regional leaders, public figures, figures in science, education and culture and residents of the country and Tatarstan.
On 16 October in the Kazan Kremlin Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaymiev, who is also the Chairman of the Trustees Council of the regional Revival Fund, had a meeting with the Director General of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky, who came to Kazan to take part in a ceremony of opening a new exposition “The Yusupovs. Luxury across the Centuries” at the Hermitage Kazan Exposition Center and which has been prepared especially for the 20th anniversary of the Hermitage’s first representational centre established in 2005 by celebrations of the Kazan Millennium.
