Mintimer Shaimiev receives greetings on 75-anniversary

President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev and Chairman of RF Government Vladimir Putin congratulated State Counselor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev on 75-anniversary.
The telegram of Dmitry Medvedev reads,
“You held a post of President of the Republic of Tatarstan for 18 years. You fulfilled a lot of work for its dynamic social-economic development and improvement of society living standards, made great contribution in consolidation of civil peace and inter-confessional consent in society. Due to your sense of responsibility, skills in making reasonable decisions and wide experience in political sphere you enjoy deserved reputation in our country. Your professional period of life demonstrates devoted service to the country “.
“You belong to the constellation of outstanding, talented people endowed with inexhaustible creative potential, real leaders. Your huge contribution in overall development of native Tatarstan, formation of modern Russian state system, consolidation of inter-ethnic peace and consent deserve profound recognition. You have never been afraid of hardships, following your own principles even in the most difficult situations. Such a responsible and consistent position and outstanding personal skills resulted in great prestige and respect. I am sure your professional skills, political wisdom and priceless experience will be in demand for the benefit of the Republic of Tatarstan and Russia”, Vladimir Putin noted in his greetings.
Mintimer Shaimiev received telegrams from the President of Turkish Republic Abdullah Gul and President of Belarus Republic Aleksandr Lukashenko.

On 20 January in the evening Russian President Vladimir Putin called Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev and congratulated him with his birthday. During the conversation Vladimir Putin stated that he is happy to hear bright voice of Mintimer (Sharipovich) and wished him good health and all the best.
On 20 January, congratulating Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev with his birthday, the Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin wrote in his telegramme: “Being a famous and political leader, you have made a substantial contribution into modern development of Tatarstan and have earned the deep respect and gratitude of residents of the republic.
On January 20, the First President of Tatarstan, State Counsellor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev celebrates its 89 birthday.
He received numerous congratulations from the state and regional leaders, public figures, figures in science, education and culture and residents of the country and Tatarstan.
On 16 October in the Kazan Kremlin Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaymiev, who is also the Chairman of the Trustees Council of the regional Revival Fund, had a meeting with the Director General of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky, who came to Kazan to take part in a ceremony of opening a new exposition “The Yusupovs. Luxury across the Centuries” at the Hermitage Kazan Exposition Center and which has been prepared especially for the 20th anniversary of the Hermitage’s first representational centre established in 2005 by celebrations of the Kazan Millennium.
