The Republican fund of historical and cultural monuments has received the “Certificate of world Guinness Records” from the Commission of the Guinness Book of Records.

The Certificate reads,
“The world’s biggest printed Koran with the following parameters: hight – 2 m( 6 feet 6,74 inches), width – 1,52 m (4 feet, 11,84 inches), thickness – 0,17 m (6,69 inches), made by ARC Group S.R.L. company (Italy), masters Nejan Bratasevich, Andrey Chernatich (Slovenia) and Mauro Loche (Italy), handed over to Kul-Sharif Mosque (Kazan, the Republic of Tatarstan) by the Republican fund of historical and cultural monuments (Russia) on November, 17, 2011”.

We remind that the biggest printed Koran is now in Kul-Sharif Mosque. This year in May it will be transported to Bolgar and placed in the main hall of Commemorative token in honor of official adoption of Islam by Volga Bulgars in 922.

The initiative of publishing an exclusive Koran belongs to the Chairman of JSC “AKIBANK” Board Ildar Galyautdinov. The idea was realized under the auspices of Republican Fund “Vozrozhdenie” and personal participation of Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of board of trustees of Fund “Vozrozhdenie”, RT State Counselor.

In virtue of uniqueness and high level of artistic performance Koran was recognized a cultural property by the RF Ministry of culture (the conclusion of Department of cultural heritage of the RF Ministry of culture dated as of 16.11.2011 № 449-05-05).
