Mintimer Shaimiev: Our activity should fit in Bolgar history and landscape

Tatarstan’s State Counselor, Chairman of the Board of guardians of the Republican fund for historical and cultural monuments Mintimer Shaimiev held a meeting dedicated to reconstruction and development of the Complex of sacred spring “Gabdrakhman sakhabe koesy” (the well of sakhab Gabdrakhman) located in Northeastern part of Bolgar settlement. The meeting took place at the Kazan Kremlin.

Mintimer Shaimiev said that realization of the project “Cultural heritage of Tatarstan: the ancient city of Bolgar and the island town of Sviyazhsk” was going according to the plan. List of works to be implemented in Bolgar and Sviyazhsk in 2012 has already been approved.

“We are now getting closer to one of the key projects of this year - reconstruction of natural and historical monument – the well of sakhab Gabdrakhman. We must make it most popular place in the ancient city of Bolgar,” he said.

Two projects were presented to participants of the meeting: the project of GUP “Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt” and contract organization OOO “Gran”.

Director General of GUP “Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt” Adel Khusnutdinov presented draft offer of the complex reconstruction with area of 9 hectares. The second, landscape project was presented by manager of OOO “Gran” Eduard Akhmetov and Director of OOO “Atrium” Gulnara Mustafina.

Aide to the RT President on social issues, CEO of the Republican fund “Renaissance” Tatyana Larionova, First Deputy Chairman of the RT Muslim Spiritual Board Abdulla hazrat Adygamov, Director of the institute of history named after Sh.Mardzhani of the RT Academy of sciences Rafael Khakimov, Director of the institute of history of the Kazan Federal University Ravil Khairutdinov, Head of Spassky municipal region Kamil Nugaev, Deputy Minister of construction, architecture, housing and utility services Almaz Akhmetshin, Minister of culture Airat Sibagatullin, Head of the RT State Counselor’s Secretariat Evgeny Grishin participated in discussion of the project.
