The Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly Valentina Matviyenko has congratulated the Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaymiyev with his 85-th birthday

Congratulating the Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaymiyev with his 85-th birthday, the Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly Valentina Matviyenko has said in her telegram:

“Please, accept my sincere congratulations with your jubilee. Behind you are a long work trail and active and fruitful state work for the benefit of native Republic of Tatarstan and the Motherland. You have made a great contribution into the improvement of life quality of people in the region, strengthening democratic and legal foundation of Russia and revival of its unique historical heritage. Today your knowledge and rich experience facilitate preservation of spiritual values and traditions of Tatarstan people, patriotic upbringing of the youth and implementation of important cultural initiatives, May all you dreams come true!”

On 20 January, at the meeting in the Kazan Kremlin, Valentina Matviyenko, who came to Tatarstan to personally congratulate the Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaymiyev with his birthday, said “We have been working together for so many years and have passed a very difficult path. You, Minitmer Sharipovich, are one of those who have become the backbone of Russia. A real statesperson!”

She also handed in Mintimer Shaymiyev a commemorative medal to 25-th anniversary of the Federation Council.
