Russian Sports Minister and the Governor of the Rostov region have congratulated Mintimer Shaymiyev with his 85-th birthday

Russian Sports Minister Oleg Matytsin and the Governor of the Rostov region Vasiliy Golubev have sent telegrams to  Mintimer Shaymiyev, congratulating him with his 85-th birthday. 

In his telegram, Matytsin said that life of Mintimer Shaymiyev is an example of descent and selfless service to his Motherland. “Due to your long-time fruitful work today the Republic of Tatarstan continues to develop rapidly and multiply its achievements in all spheres of public life including that of sports. Your political wisdom, rich experience and sincere commitment to the state interests resulted in your high authority and sincere respect among residents of Tatarstan and all over the country.” 

Rostov Governor Vasiliy Golubev has stressed in his telegram that the talent of an administrator, political wisdom, diplomacy and active civic position of Shaymiyev “are landmarks for all of us, an example of determination and resilience for the young generation.”
