Mintimer Shaimiev takes part in a ceremonial event dedicated to the 100th birthday of the All-Russia Society of Sports and Physical Training "Dynamo"
On May 3, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, the Head of the Office of the Rais of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov , who is also the Chairman of the Society in Tatarstan, and the Chairman of the All-Russia Society of Sports and Physical Training "Dynamo" Anatoliy Gulevskiy took part in a ceremonial event dedicated to the 100th birthday of the All-Russia Society of Sports and Physical Training "Dynamo" held in the Kazan Kremlin.
The Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the Society "Dynamo" triggered off the mass and country-wide sports movement, which exists till today as a united team. He emphasized that today Dynamo is one of the largest sports organizations working in all regions of Russia and organizing more than 100 sports events every year. ”All world knows names of Dynamo members who not once won Olympics, became champions of the world, Europe and our country, “ he said and mentioned names of famous skiers, tap shooters, gymnasts, swimmers, volleyball players and other athletes.
“We are especially proud of team-sports achievements as our male and female volleyball teams many times have become the best in our country, Europe and the world,” Rustam Minnikhanov said and also mentioned the champions of various competitions - the male field hockey club “Ak Bars Dynamo”, the male grass hockey club Dynamo-Ak-Bars and the female Ak-Bars club Ak-Bars Dynamo which twice won the Russian Cup and Super Cup.
Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude to the regional sports society Dynamo and its Chairman Asgat Safarov for team and committed work and handed in a number of state awards to the team of the Tatarstan Society Dynamo.
In his turn the Chairman of the All-Russia Society of Sports and Physical Training "Dynamo" Anatoliy Gulevskiy said: “I would like to emphasize the special role of the Tatarstan Dynamo organization in development of the Dynamo movement. For many years you have been the leaders and I am very grateful to you” and presented Jubilee medals dedicated to the 100th birthday of Dynamo to Rustam Minnikhanov and Asgat Safarov.
