Rustam Minnikhanov and Mintimer Shaimiev take part in opening a Quiet Garden spiritual complex at Children’s Regional Clinical Hospital
On 30 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, the regional Minister of Healthcare Marsel Minullin, the Head of the Muslims Spiritual Board of the republic Kamil Samigullin and the Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Cyril took part in a ceremony of opening a Quiet Garden spiritual complex at Children’s Regional Clinical Hospital in Kazan.
The implementation of the project was the result of long time cooperation of the Hospital, the regional Healthcare Ministry, the Muslims Spiritual Board of the republic and Tatarstan Metropolitan of Russian Orthodox Church with numerous charity and public amalgamations, and, speaking at the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov said: “Today we are celebrating the Day of Tatarstan and the Day of Kazan and of course the opening of the spiritual complex is the third fest for us. It is nice that such facilities built with love are located close to the Children’s Clinical Hospital. I would like to thank each of you – everyone who has come here today. When we have a grueling time we always come to our God. And it helps. So the decision to build a mosque and a church here is noble and agreeable to God”.
After Kamil Samigullin and Cyril also welcomed the participants of the ceremony, the guests looked round the church and the mosque.
