Mintimer Shaimiev congratulates People’s poet of Tatarstan Ravil Faizullin on 70th anniversary

On October 18 Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev took part in a solemn event dated to 70th anniversary of Honoured culture worker of Russia, People’s poet of Tatarstan, laureate of G.Tukai state prize Ravil Faizullin. Colleagues and friends came to M.Dzhalil Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theatre to congratulate Ravil Faizullin on anniversary.

In his congratulatory speech Mintimer Shaimiev said that Ravil Faizullin started writing poems at school, and since then his life was devoted to literature and poetry. As a chief editor of a literary magazine “Kazan utlary” for 20 years, he actively presented works of Tatar poets, prose writers, playwrights and literary critics to the public.

Mintimer Shaimiev continued that the poet has his own style of writing and the poems have deep meaning. He conveyed congratulations from Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and presented keys from new car to Ravil Faizullin.

A Turkish professor Mustafa Oner, People’s poet of Bashkortostan Ravil Bikbaev, a famous poet Raul Mir-Khaidarov, and Chairman of Tatarstan Union of Writers Rafis Kurbanov also congratulated Ravil Faizullin on anniversary.
