Rustam Minnikhanov and Mintimer Shaimiev lay flowers to the Eternal flame in the Victory Park
On 9 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, the Chairman of the state Council of the republic Farid Mukhametshin, the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took part in a solemn ceremony of laying flowers to the Eternal flame in the Victory Park in Kazan.
Upon their arrival to the park the guests were welcomed by representatives of the All-Russia children’s and youth military patriotic movement “Yunarmiya” and other patriotic and youth organizations, and after the ceremony of laying flowers, representatives of the Kazan Aircraft Plant told about legendary military planes exhibited at the Victory Park.
Having laid the flowers to the Monument of Mothers and Widows of the Fallen and to the Monument to the Soviet soldier, Rustam Minnikhanov and Mintimer Shaimiev went to the Millennium Square to watch a solemn march of the Kazan garrison.
