Mintimer Shaimiev meets with Irina Vlakh

On October 20, Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of the Board of trustees of the Revival Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev met with the Governor of Gagauzia (the Republic of Moldova) Irina Vlakh, who arrived with the delegation of Gagauzia in Kazan in the morning.

Irina Vlakh thanked Mintimer Shaimiev for the meeting and continuous support of Gagauzia, especially at the end of 90s.

Shaimiev told the guests about experience of the republic in building relations with the federal center that can be useful for Gagauzia, cultural and historical project “Cultural heritage: the ancient town of Bolgar and island town of Sviyazhsk”, and activity of the Revival Foundation.

Today the delegation of Gagauzia visited Training and laboratory campus of the Institute of fundamental medicine and biology of Kazan Federal University, Regional engineering center of medical simulators “Eidos”, Agro-industrial park “Kazan”, and Museum of statehood, met with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

The plan of actions on trade-economic, research-technical, and cultural cooperation between Tatarstan and Gagauzia was signed.
