Mintimer Shaimiev holds meeting on construction of Bolgar Islamic Academy

On October 13, at the Kazan Kremlin, State Counsellor of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Board of trustees of the Revival Regional Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev held a meeting on construction of Bolgar Islamic Academy.

The academic and residential buildings of the academy have been built. Participants of the meeting discussed some issues concerning finishing the buildings, connection of utility lines, and site improvement.

The same issues on construction of “Kul Gali” hotel complex were discussed.

The creation of Bolgar Islamic Academy was initiated by the biggest Muslim religious organizations, - Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia, Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia, and Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Order of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov “About the creation of Bolgar Islamic Academy and reconstruction of the Cathedral of Kazan icon of the Mother of God” was signed on November 4, 2015.
