Mintimer Shaimiev takes part in session of Tatarstan State Council

On February 16, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counsellor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, members of Tatarstan Government took part in the 25th session of Tatarstan State Council of the 5th convocation, which was held by Chairman of State Council Farid Mukhametshin.

The meeting considered 38 issues including 11 regional draft bills, 17 federal bills and legislative initiatives of legislative assemblies of Russian territorial entities.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mukhametshin handed in a badge of honour of the State Council “For Contribution to Development of Parliamentarism” to Rafael Khakimov, Vice-President of the Academy of Science of the republic, Director of Sh.Mardzhani Institute of History, who celebrated his 70th-anniversary a few days ago.

Chairman of State Council congratulated Khakimov on a well-deserved award and wished him good health.

Minister of Internal Affairs of the republic Artem Khohorin made a report on the work of police in 2016.

The draft bill on the Civic Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan, the bill on amending the law of the republic on protecting housing rights of citizens, the bill on intangible cultural heritage were considered and passed in their first reading.
