Mintimer Shaimiev takes part in a parade dedicated to the 72nd anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War

On May 9, on Millennium Square in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin, Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin, and veterans of the Great Patriotic War took part in a celebratory parade dedicated to the 72nd anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The official part started with the march with Victory Banner and state flags of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan, and live broadcast of the main parade on red Square in Moscow.

After the official speech of the Russian President Vladimir Putin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated citizens of the republic on Victory Day: “Dear participants of the parade, veterans and workers on the homefront, citizens and guests of the Republic of Tatarstan! I congratulate you on Victory Day! Strong army and armed forces are necessary for keeping peace and stability. Today our soldiers and commanders of the Russian army, worthy successors of heroes of the Great Patriotic War are protecting borders and interests of our country.

Dear veterans and workers on the homefront! Your courage and love for the motherland, wisdom and inexhaustible energy is the example for all of us. I wish you health, longevity and peaceful sky.”
