RT President Mintimer Shaimiev met with Vladimir Salamatov, the RF Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Grigory Elkin, the Head of the Federal Agency for technical regulation and metrology, and Gennady Voronon, the President of the Russian Quality Organization, Chairman of the Quality Committee of the RF Chamber of Trade and Industry, at the Kazan Kremlin November 19.

A group of Tatarstan volunteers will gain experience during the World Winter Universiade-2011 in Erzurum, Turkey. A corresponding agreement was achieved at a session of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) executive committee in Turkey.

The famous film director and clip-maker, creator of the movie Night watch Timur Bekmambetov announced about the launch of the new project called "New Year is going along the country". It is planned it will be an almanac of short New Year love stories.

Among the cities where Timur Bekmambetov is going to work are Kazan, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Khabarovsk, Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and Moscow.

The meeting between Gulnara Akhmadeyeva, the RT Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, and Philip McDonagh, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ireland to the Russian Federation, was held at the RT Ministry of Industry and Trade on November 18.

A bilateral meeting of representatives of republican executive bodies, organizations and agencies with a group of German managers was held at the RT Government.

German businessmen came to Tatarstan to take a study course as part of the Presidential programme of preparation of managerial staff for national economic organizations of the Russian Federation. It is the first pilot project allowing German experts to study Tatarstan’s business climate and opportunities for joint projects.

The opening of the Centre of Chinese Culture took place on November 17 at the Kazan State University branch in Naberezhniye Chelny.

RF Prime Minister Vladimir Putin had a meeting with RT President Mintimer Shaimiev held on November 17 as part of his working visit to Tatarstan. The meeting took place in at Nizhnekamskneftekhim Nizhnekamsk.

November 17, in the engine assembly department at ZAO Cummins-KAMA the ceremony of start up of the assembly line took place. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the ceremony.

On 17 November in Begishevo airport an aircraft landed with the Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin aboard. At the aircraft the Head of the Russian Government was met by Plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in Volga federal district Grigoriy Rapota, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, Mayor of Naberezhniy Chelny Ildar Khalikov, Head of Nizhnekamsk district municipality Aidar Metshin.

A workshop called Sports Associations in Promoting Younger People’s Involvement in Intercultural Dialogue, sponsored by the Council of Europe European Youth Centre, has been held in Strasbourg, France.
