Forbes Russia has today published a list of Russia’s best cities for doing business. Kazan has again been included on the top five.
The RT minister of education and science, Albert Gilmutdinov, met with the director of the British institute of technology and electronic commerce (BITE), Dr. Muhammad Farmer, and the member of the Chamber of Lords, Lord Ahmed Nazir. The guest made a presentation of BITE and their programmes.

The Prime Minister of Tatarstan Roustam Minnikhanov, UK’s House of Lords member Ahmet Nazir and the British Institute of Technology and Ecommerce’s Director Muhammad Ali Farmer have today discussed issues related to cooperation between Tatarstan’s higher schools and the BITE.
May 28, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev met with rectors of federal state educational institutions that provide education to government employees. The meeting was held in the Representation Building at the Kazan Kremlin.
In a telegram for the name of the Republic of Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov Russian Minister of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy Vitaly Mutko expressed gratitude to for high level of preparation, organization of the XVII final festival of the programme on student creativity support and development ‘Russian Student Spring-2009’.
The Tatarstan’s first deputy prime minister Boris Pavlov on 27 May met with the Vincent Park Holdings Ltd transnational company’s CEO Joseph Rubinstein, reports the Cabinet of Ministers’s press service.
May 27 saw a meeting of the first deputy prime minister, Boris Pavlov, and the President of the transnational holding company Vincent Park Holdings Ltd, Josef Rubinshtein, taking place at the Plenipotentiary Representation of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation.
The third session of the RT State Council of the fourth convocation took place on May 28. Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev attended the session.
A working group headed by Tatarstan Minister on Youth Affairs, Sport and Tourism Marat Bariev paid a visit to Belgrade, Serbia to discuss issues of organizing an internship of volunteers from Tatarstan during the XXV Summer Universiade.

The Tatarstan’s key oil producer Tatneft intends in 2010 and 2011 to recover in Tatarstan 25.4 million tonnes of oil. Besides, 350 and 370 thousand tonnes are to be recovered outside Tatarstan at licence areas in Russia by the company’s subsidiaries, and 120 and 375 respectively outside Russia.
