On the 23rd of October, President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev will attend the opening of the first All Russian sport forum ‘Russia – Country of Sports’ and will hold the meeting of the Council under the Russian Federation President for Development of Physical Culture and Sports, High Achievements Sports, Organization and Holding the XXII Winter Olympic Games and XI Paralympic Games 2014 in Sochi, XXVII International Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan.

There are foreigners among the participants of the first All Russian sports forum ‘Russia – Country of Sports’. Some of them are the future guests and participants of the XXVII International Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan.

Vice-Premier of Russian Government Alexander Zhukov has taken part in opening of the exhibition "Modern Sports. Innovations and Prospects" today as a part of the First All-Russia Forum "Russia - Country of Sports".

The following officials have attended the opening ceremony: Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov, Russia Minister of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy Vitaly Mutko, the State Duma vice-speaker Svetlana Zhurova, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, and Russian Olympic Committee head Leonid Tyagachev.

October 22, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev met with the President of the Republic of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Yevkurov in Kazan Kremlin.

The trams with the HS characteristics will be purchased for the Universiade, which will be held in Kazan in 2013. Therefore, it is planned to construct 19.5 km of new tram lines and to reconstruct 43.4 km of the existing rails. By 2013, about 66 HS trams will be available in the city.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia, General of the Army Rashid Nurgaliyev arrived in Kazan on the 22nd of October. During the visit, he will take part in the events held within the bounds of the All-Russian Forum “Russia - Sports State” and will meet with the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov.

In order to explore the innovative methods of the power supply in foreign markets and to use these practices in our country, the managers of several housing and communal companies of Tatarstan took the energy efficiency course, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan with the assistance of the Institute for Economic Promotion under the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber with the practical part in Austria.

The films screening of the “Golden Minbar Echo” project will take place in Moscow on October 26-31. Winner-films of the “Golden Minbar” Muslim film festival, which took place in Kazan on September 30 – October 4, will be presented there.

The cinema forum will be premiered by “The Eagles” film shooted by Ramil Toukhvatullin from Tatarstan. Actors starring in this film – Azgar Shakirov, Rinat Tajetdinov, Ravil Sharafeyev - received the Best Actor prize.

On the 21th of October, the President of the Russian Federation signed the decree on the establishment of federal universities in Northwest, Volga, Urals and Fareast federal districts.
According to the decree published on the official server of the President of the Russian Federation the Federal University of Volga District will be established on the basis of the state educational institution of higher professional education ‘Kazan State University named after Vladimir Ulyanov-Lenin’

The Daimler AG delegation, Kamaz auto maker’s strategic partner, has completed its visit to Naberezhnye Chelny. The guests, led by the Daimler AG Department of Production chief Christoph Siegel, focused on the development of Kamaz’s production system, said the company’s press service.
