July 20, Kuwait artists presented their creative works in Tatarstan. An exhibition of modern painting, graphics, and photography of this country opened at the National Art Gallery "Khezine".

In Exhibition Hall of State Museum of Fine Arts of RT the exhibition of works of VIII Open Kazan Photo Contest was opened. About 100 works were exhibited to the public. For participation in contest there ware received in general about 11,000 works from more than 400 authors. Apart from Kazan the works were received from the different cities of Russia, Belorussia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Austria, USA, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Georgia. The prize places were allocated among 48 authors.

On July, 17 the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev chaired the session of the State Council of the Russian Federation devoted to the issues of the youth policy and hosted the champions and winners of the XXV Summer Universiade in Belgrade. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan took participation in these events.

Kazan Aviation Production Association named after Gorbunov (KAPO n.a. Gorbunov) will go into the United Aircraft Building Corporation (UABC) as early as in October, 2009. It was announced to the journalists in Kazan by the Deputy Chairmen of the Government of the Russian Federation Sergey Ivanov after the meeting concerning the development of KAPO n.a. Gorbunov.

On July, 17 the Vice Prime Minister Sergey Ivanov within the frameworks of his working visit to Kazan was acquainted to the expertise of using the communications satellite navigation on the basis of GLONASS. Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Rusiam Minnikhanov showed Sergey Ivanov round.

Construction site of technopark in the sphere of high-technologies (IT-Park) in Kazan was examined by the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Sergey Ivanov. Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan showed him round. IT-Part is situated at Peterburgskaya Str. in the heart of Tatarstan, its total area amounted to more than 30, 000 m2, it is planned to allocate here about 80 companies-residents (10,000 working places). Director of IT-park Arsen Khusnutdinov made the presentation of the possibilities for development of IT-business in IT-park in the field of high-technologies.

Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Sergey Ivanov has arrived to Kazan on July 16. Mintimer Shaimiev, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Rustam Minnikhanov, the RT Prime Minister, met the Vice Premier of Russia at airport.

Tatarstan Government head Rustam Minnikhanov met with Rector of Russian Justice Academy, Professor Valentin Yershov at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers on July 16. Prospects of further cooperation in personnel training for the judicial system were discussed at the meeting.

On July 16, the Kazan-based “KAPO named after S.P.Gorbunov” aircraft manufacturer has delivered next strategic bomber Tu-160 to Russian air forces.

On 15 July, Minister Information and Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan Farit Fazylzyanov met on the Ministry’s premises with Siemens IT Solutions & Services to discuss the issues of cooperation in the field of ICT development in the Republic of Tatarstan. At the meeting, the parties consider an opportunity of Siemens participation in the Universiade 2013 as a technical partner.
