On September 21, at the Saidashev Great Concert Hall in Kazan, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the 20th session of Tatarstan State Council of the 5th convocation at which Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov delivered his annual address to the Council.
On September 18, at the voting station №55 at Tupolev Kazan National Research Technical University, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev and his wife voted at elections for the State Duma of the Russian Federation. As all voters Shaimiev was given a bracelet “I voted!”.
On September 16, a final session of the International forum "Preserving humanity as an imperative for sustainable development” was held at Kazan Federal University. World experts signed a programme document, the Kazan declaration about the ways to preserve and develop humanistic principles.
On September 15, at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev had a meeting with Executive Secretary of UNESCO Commission Grigory Ordjonikidze, Senior Advisor to the Permanent Delegation of Russia to UNESCO Dmitry Knyazhinskiy, Director of historical and documentary department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Alexander Kuznetsov - participants of the UNESCO International Forum "Preserving humanity as an imperative for sustainable development”, being held in Kazan these days.
