On 27 September Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Regional Revival Fund, came to Bolgar to take part in the events dedicated to the religious holiday of Mawlid an-Nabi - the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad.
On 18 September at its 45th extended session in Saudi Arabia, the World Heritage Committee passed a decision to inscribe Astronomical observatories of Kazan University into the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The work on promotion of the observatories into the World Heritage List was done from 2019 with the support of the Tatarstan Revival Find under supervision of the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, who is the UNESCO Good Will Ambassador.
On September 15, at the Korston cinema, Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev watched the film “Take and Remember” by film director Baybulat Batulla. Together with him at the film screening were director Baybulat Batulla, writer Rabit Batulla, who played one of the main roles, and Chairman of the Writers' Union of Tatarstan Rkail Zaidullin.
On 14 September Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the 47th session of the State Council of the republic of the sixth convocation, where during the brake he attended the exhibition dedicated to the ethnographic project “The Embroidered Map of Tatarstan”.
On 29 August at their meeting in the Ceremonial Hall of the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, who is also the Chairman of the Guardian Council of the regional Revival Fund and the UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador in inter-cultural dialogue, and the Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Salim bin Mohammed Al-Malik discussed issues of developing cooperation between the republic and ISESCO.
On 21 August at the Ceremonial Building of the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, who is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Tatarstan Fund of Revival of Monuments of History and Culture, handed in Letters of appreciation from the Regional Revival Fund to participants and organizers of the festival “Renaissance: Epos in modern interpretation”. The festival organized by the regional Ministry of Culture and the Revival Fund was held on 15-23 July in the Bolgar Museum-Reserve with participation of theatres, creative amalgamations, folks craft masters, craftsmen and designers from regions of Russia, the CIS and Asia.
On 23 July in the evening the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the events of the festival “Renaissance: epos in modern interpretation” held in Bolgar.
Speaking to participants of the events, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked them for their coming to Bolgar and said that the festival is gaining momentum and ethnic culture becomes more and more popular every year. He thanked all organizes of the festival, saying: «It is hard work”.

On 21 July the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev took part an even held at the Cathedral of the Icon of the Kazan Virgin and dedicated to 444th anniversary of the Appearance of the Icon of the Holy Mother of God in Kazan.
On July 20, Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev visited Rustem Khayrullin's photo exhibition “Nature. City. Spring”, opened at the Khazine National Art Gallery in the Kazan Kremlin in July.
Rustem Khayrullin, known throughout the republic as a doctor and Director General of the Interregional Clinical and Diagnostic Centre, appeared here in a new role as a photo artist. He is the winner of the Water of Russia photography competition, the Photo Prize International Competition, the 35AWARDS competition, and a participant of the projects of the Russian Geographical Society. The exposition presents 70 pictures, where the author captured views of nature, urban landscapes and spring transformation.
