The mufti of Tatarstan has congratulated Mintimer Shaymiyev with his 85-th birthday and handed him in the Shigabutdin Margani Order of the First Degree

At their meeting in the Kazan Kremlin, the Head of the Tatarstan Muslin Spiritual Board, the regional Mufti Kamil khazrat Samigullin has congratulated Mintimer Shaymiyev with his 85-th birthday. 

Addressing Mintimer Shaymiyev, the Mufti has said:” Overcoming difficulties you were able to lay the path for development of our people, to lead them, organize and develop Tatars and a religious, political, cultural and self-sufficient nation”.

Samigullin expressed his gratitude to Shaymiyev for his worthless contribution into the development of Islam: “Trusting in Allah, you today continue your consistent and efficient public and political work. It is aimed at the benefit of our Muslim Ummah and our religion. May Allah reward you for your good deeds for the benefit of Muslims in our country, for your efforts and sincere striving to make contribution into the development of Islam in Russia!”

The Mufti of Tatarstan also handed in Mintimer Shaymiev the Shigabutdin Margani Order of the First Degree.
