Mintimer Shaimiev meets Alibeman Eghbali Zarch

On December 27, State Counsellor of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev met Acting Head of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kazan Alibeman Eghbali Zarch, who arrived in Kazan in November 2016. He had worked as the Iranian Ambassador in Albania, senior expert of Deputy Minister of Iran in Europe and America before.

The Consulate General of Iran in Kazan opened in 2007.

Mintimer Shaimiev noted that Tatarstan and Iran have multifaceted cultural and business relations now as well as they had before, when he was the President of the republic.

The meeting discussed issues of cooperation in the sphere of innovations, education, implementation of advanced technologies in oil production and refinery, and preservation of cultural and historical heritage.
