An ambitious project aimed at providing each school teacher with a notebook computer - “In Year of Teacher – a notebook for each teacher” starts in Tatarstan. Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov informed about it at the final session of Tatarstan Ministry of Education and Science on February 12.
In opinion of head of the republican Government, a teacher isn’t able to solve vitals tasks without access to new technologies, means of informatization. “We start realization of this programme this year,” Rustam Minnikhanov said
Head of Tatarstan Centre of Informational technologies Nikolai Nikiforov informed that some 450 million roubles were required for realization of the project “In the Year of Teacher – a notebook to each teacher”. “There have appeared positive tendencies in federal co-financing of such programmes,” head of the centre said.
RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov held meeting with the World Bank Country Director Resident for Russia Mr Klaus Rohland and Director of World Bank on Argentina Mr Pedro Alba at the RT Government. Head of RT Cabinet office Shamil Gafarov, Head of state legal management of RT President Raisa Sakhieva, Chairman of committee on budget, taxes and finances of RT State Council Murad Gadylshin and chiefs of some ministries took part in the meeting.
The meeting of Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev and Country Director and Resident Representative of the World Bank in Russia Klaus Rohland was held at the Kazan Kremlin on February 12.

February 11, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visited the KAMAZ-master motor sports center where he met the members of the sport team. After the meeting, the Russian Prime Minister had a conversation with Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev.
February 11, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visited OAO SOLLERS-Naberezhnye Chelny where he was accompnied by RF Industry and Trade Minister Viktor Khristenko, Plenipotentiary Envoy of the RF President in the Volga Federal District Grigory Rapota, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of the State Corporation Vnesheconombank Vladimir Dmitriev and JSC VTB Bank President and Chairman of the Management Board Andrei Kostin.
Vladimir Putin, the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, arrived in Naberezhnye Chelny on February 11. Grigory Rapota, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the RF President in the Volga Federal District, Mintimer Shaimiev, the President of the Republic Tatarstan, Ildar Khalikov, the Mayor of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny, met the RF Prime Minister at the Begishevo Airport.
In 2010, support measures for smaller innovative firms in Tatarstan, conducting research and development projects in the interests of larger industrial companies will be implemented within a pilot programme called Business Partner. The support is to be implemented within the agreement signed between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Fund for Small Science and Technology Enterprise.
The main purpose of the programme is to render support to small innovative businesses in conducting research and development, and design and experimental work on producing innovative high-technology goods and services, demanded by the market and required to solve issues faced by industrial entities in Tatarstan, including for the new consumer niche related to the Universiade 2013.
In the first year of the Business Partner pilot programme implementation, 3 million roubles is planned to be allocated. The innovative companies and conducting research and development projects in the interests of larger industrial companies are to be selected within the competition.
RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a session of Organization committee on promoting Russian Federation to hold World football championship 2018/2022. It was held in Moscow on February 10 chaired by First deputy chairman of RF government Igor Shuvalov.

In 2010, the Republic of Tatarstan was included in the federal vascular programme with 236-million-rouble funding from the federal budget, said the Tatarstan Health Minister Airat Farrakhov at a ministry staff meeting.
The Tatarstan Health Ministry last year focused on the development of high-technology medical help (HTMH). Nine healthcare institutions render high-technology medical help in Tatarstan on 19 specialities and 106 types (81 percent of the total list of high-technology medical help).
Over the short time the vascular centres have been active, the insult mortality rate has reduced 17 percent.
February 10, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev met with the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to Russia Seyed Mahmoud Reza Sajjadi at the Kazan Kremlin.
