The President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mintimer Sahimiev, has sent telegrams to mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, the Chairman of the Council of muftis of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Muslims’ Religious Board of the European part of Russia, and mufti Gusman khazrat Iskhakov, the Chairman of the Muslims’ Religious Board of the Republic of Tatarstan, on the occasion of Kurban-Bairam (Eid al-Adha).
December 1, Mintimer Shaymiev, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Co-chairman of the Supreme Council of the Russian political party "United Russia" met with RT citizens in Kazan public office of the party’s Chairman Vladimir Putin.
November 28, the award ceremony for winners of the Republican contest among families of the Republic of Tatarstan “Pride of Tatarstan” was held in the Musa Jalil Tatar State theatre of Opera and Ballet. Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the event.
