The 43rd meeting of the RT State Council of the 3rd convocation started early on December 15. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mintimer Shaimiev, attended the meeting.
December 11, the joint meeting of the Council under the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District and Staff of the RF Security Council was opened in the city of Penza at the House of Government of the Penza Region. Mintimer Shaimiev, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in the meeting.
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mintimer Sahimiev, has sent telegrams to mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, the Chairman of the Council of muftis of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Muslims’ Religious Board of the European part of Russia, and mufti Gusman khazrat Iskhakov, the Chairman of the Muslims’ Religious Board of the Republic of Tatarstan, on the occasion of Kurban-Bairam (Eid al-Adha).
