First Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev met with Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, the President of the Islamic Development Bank, at the Representative Building of the Kazan Kremlin on March 26.
At the end of the swearing-in ceremony, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov bestowed the First President of the republic with the Order for Services for the Republic of Tatarstan”. A corresponding edict was singed on March 25.
Today, on March 25, 2010, after taking office of the Republic of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, has signed the following edict of RT President: “On taking office of the Republic of Tatarstan President”, “On vesting R.F. Muratov with duties of the Republic of Tatarstan Prime Minister”, “On bestowing the first President of the Republic of Tatarstan M.Sh. Shaimiev with order “Fore Merits before the Republic of Tatarstan”, and on the order of granting additional state guarantees to the person whose RT presidential term has expired.
Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated Rustam Minnikhanov on inauguration as the President of Republic of Tatarstan on behalf of Tatarstan citizens and himself.
“It is honorable, responsible and significant to be the leader of such republic, - Mintimer Shaimiev said at ceremony of inauguration. – life experience, workability, competence, personal qualities of Rustam Minnikhanov are undoubtful for successful activity of our President for the benefit of people living in Tatarstan and Russian Federation”.
Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Conference Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu arrived to Kazan on March 24. The Russian Federation Permanent Representative at the OIC, Kamil Iskhakov arrived at Kazan with him.
A concert of Tatarstan State Symphonic Orchestra headed by Tatarstan, Russia and Kazakhstan People’s Artist Fuat Mansurov will be held on April 1 at the Urals Conservatoire concert hall.
The concert programme includes compositions of Tchaikovsky, Skryabin, Rakhmaninov and Kalimullin.
In February, two air carriers in Tatarstan topped a punctuality rating list within the international competition The Most Punctual Companies, regularly held by JSC Domodedovo Airport’s Commercial Agency, says the Tatarstan Ministry of Transport and Road Facilities’s press service.
JSC Ak Bars Aero (previously JSC Bugulma Airlines) has for long been at the top of the list. The Tatarstan Airlines carrier has been included on the list for the first time over the year.
The local government has made three drafts of a Cabinet of Ministers resolution, aimed to regulate issues related to providing high-quality housing and utilities service and devise related standards. The drafts are being debated by the municipalities.
The Tatarstan Federation of Trade Unions chairwoman Tatiana Vodopianova has today told it to journalists before the federation council’s meeting dealing with implementing in 2009 a republican agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers, Tatarstan Association of Businesses and Businessmen and Tatarstan Commerce and Industry Chamber on conducting a socio-economic policy and promoting social partnership in 2007-2009.
