President of the Republic of Tatarstan congratulation on the occasion of Sabantui holiday.

Dear Tatarstanians !

On behalf of the State Council, the Government of republic and from myself personally I heartily congratulate you on national holiday Sabantui!

Having appeared as the holiday of ending spring-field works, Sabantui symbolizes awakening the nature, diligence and optimism of our people. Being carefully passed from generation to generation, it became a true personification of our original customs and rich spiritual heritage.

Every year maidan of Sabantui is expanding finding new friends and admirers. International, open character of the holiday has deserved respect and recognition among wide public of the regions of the Russian Federation and many countries. Wooden pole with embroidered towel became some kind of uniting symbol for all Tatar world.

This year is a very special for multinational Tatarstan. Our ancient and eternally young capital - Kazan marks the thousand-year anniversary. Dozens delegations of the highest rank from regions of Russia, the countries of near and far abroad will be the guests of republic, take part in festive actions. I am convinced that primordially national colour and attractiveness of Sabantui will allow all its participants these days to adjoin to the best traditions and cultural values of our people, to feel the unique character of holiday.

Let present Sabantui will serve as a good pledge for the further mutual understanding and accord among our compatriots and good atmosphere of the holiday inspire you for new actions, give confidence for today and the future.
