On December 9, in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and State Counselor of the republic, Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation Mintimer Shaymiev visited the Hero of Socialist Labor Ildus Mostyukov.
Scientist-designer Ildus Mostyukov was born in Kazan in 1928. In 1955 he graduated from the radio engineering department of Kazan Aviation Institute and got a job at the Kazan development design office-294. He studied aviation technology and developed special tools and systems for aviation.
In 1980 he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor for the creation of a single State-wide radar identification system. Mostyukov is one of the founders of the “friend or foe” identification system.
Minnikhanov congratulated Mostyukov on Heroes of the Fatherland Day and noted his great contribution to strengthening the country's defense capability. Tatarstan President handed in to the Hero of Social Labor a commemorative medal in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the World War II. The award was established by the Decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Mostyukov was awarded the Letter of Gratitude of Tatarstan President.
