The Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, congratulated the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mintimer Shaimiev, on the Day of People’s Unity.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev presented state awards to outstanding citizens of the country on November 2. Tatarstan First Prime Minister Ravil Muratov was among the awardees. He received the Order “For Service to the Fatherland”, 4th degree.

The ceremony of presenting state awards of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan was held at the Residence of the RT President at the Kazan Kremlin on November 2. State awards were presented by Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev.

The delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan led by Ravil Zaripov, the RT Minister of Industry and Trade, is on a working visit to the Free State of Saxony, Germany from 2 to 5 November. On November 3rd, the economic forum of business circles of Saxony and Tatarstan will be held; the participants of the forum will lay down main directions for cooperation.

Kazan is fourth in the rating of the most investment-attractive cities of Russia. More than 58 Russian cities with the population of over 250 thousand people took part in the third rating of investment attractiveness, with Yekaterinburg being first, followed by Krasnodar and Ufa.
