Tatarstan State Council Chairman Farid Moukhametshin takes part in a session of the Council for the Federation Council’s interaction with legislative (representative) bodies of the Russian Federation subjects – Council of Legislators today.

The 75th anniversary of USSR People’s Artist, stage director, laureate of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian Federation State awards Marsel Salimdjanov was celebrated at G. Kamal Tatar State Academy Theatre on November 7.

The republican parliamentarians approved the draft 2010 budget of Tatarstan in the first reading at the meeting of the RT State Council on November 5. Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the discussion on the republic’s major financial document.

November 5, Tatarstan deputies gathered for the sixth meeting of the RT State Council of the 4th convocation. On the agenda is the republican budget 2010 that is to be considered in the first reading.

Kurban Berdiyev was as usually very calm at an after-match press-conference. “I am satisfied with the team’s actions both in defense and attacking. It is a pleasure that Rubin is recognized all over the world thanks to such games. I am sure it will assist to development of Russian football on the whole. Kamaz has begun a sale of trucks remaining at warehouses, manufactured in 2007-2008 that are now inside the Republic of Kazakhstan, the company’s press service said. The campaign is to run until approximately the end of March 2010. Kamaz consumers will be offered a total of 650 trucks with a 30-percent discount of the price list of models manufactured in 2009.

A ceremony of presenting state awards of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan was held at Kazan Kremlin on November 2. Head of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev handed over state awards of Russia and Tatarstan.

Russian parliamentarians’ football team will play a match versus Spanish Barcelona club veterans on the Day of People’s Unity, November 4, State Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov told journalists. The match will take place in Kazan on the same day as Champions League match Rubin-Barcelona, Interfax news agency reports citing B. Gryzlov.

The delegation of the Astrakhan region government has arrived on a two-day working visit to Tatarstan. The purpose of the trip is to explore Tatarstan’s experience in state regulation of investment activity and stimulating research and development, said the Economy Ministry’s press service.

The President of the Russian Federation, Dmitri Medvedev, congratulated the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mintimer Shaimiev, on the Day of People’s Unity.
