November 12, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev signed two RT laws: on introduction of amendments to the laws of the Republic of Tatarstan “On delegation of powers of state registration of acts of civil status to local authorities” and “On physical culture and sport”.

November 12, First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitri Medvedev arrived in Kazan. Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev, Prime-minister Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and other officials met the First Vice-premier at the Kazan International Airport.

November 9, on the eve of the Militia Day, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev presented awards to officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Kazan Kremlin.

November 8, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev signed five laws of the Republic of Tatarstan: “On introduction of amendments to Articles 2.9 and 3.6 of the Code of the Republic of Tatarstan of administrative offences”, on introduction of amendments to the laws of the Republic of Tatarstan “On participation of citizens in observation of the social order in the Republic of Tatarstan”, “On appeals of citizens of the Republic of Tatarstan”, “On protection of people and territories against emergency situations” and “On creation of magistracies and posts of justices of the peace in the Republic of Tatarstan”.

November 8, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev met with Kazan party activists at the Pyramid Convention Centre.

November 3, the Congress of nations of the Republic of Tatarstan was opened in Kazan. Mr. Mintimer Shaimiev the President of Tatarstan took part in the forum.

Mintimer Shaimiev, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, received a letter from Aleksei Gordeyev, the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Federal council of experts of United Russia’s project ‘Professional team of the country’.

November 1, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev presented Irina Beletskaya, the academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Professor of Moscow State University, with the 2007 International Arbuzov Prize in the Kazan Kremlin.

October 31, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev is making a business trip to Naberezhnye Chelny. The first place he visited was the Sports and Health complex ‘United Russia’ built on the United Russia party’s initiative within the framework of the federal task programme “Development of the physical culture and sports in the RF in 2006-2015”.
