10-th anniversary of the district was celebrated on November 23 in Tyulyachi. It was marked by the opening of a new Palace of Culture and beginning of the local radio broadcasting.

The All-Russia meeting of heads of public safety militia of the Internal Ministry of Russia, Volga, Ural and Southern federal districts started its work today in Kazan, with participation of RF Minister of internal affairs Boris Gryzlov and RT President Mintimer Shaimiev. Heads of public safety militia from over 50 regions of Russia arrived for the meeting.

All of them became owners of special state grants founded by the RT President's decree for those, who succeeds in academic and scientific activity.
Mintimer Shaimiev emphasized that public attention was attracted to the problems of youth and it will allow to assign certain items of expenses to these purposes through acceptance of appropriate laws.

On November 16, a harvest festival passed in Baltasi. In this harvest season, grain-growers of the district reaped 166 941 tons of grain and leguminous at average 53,7 centners per hectare. RT President Mintimer Shaimiev personally congratulated them on these achievements.

Leaders of deputy groups Vyacheslav Volodin, Oleg Morozov, Vladimir Pehtin and Gennady Raikov, who were visiting Tatarstan on November 16, promised their support to Tatarstan in the State Duma of the Russian Federation. Chairman of the Chechen anti-war congress Salambek Maigov conveyed his gratitude to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan for his consecutive position in settlement of the situation in the Northern Caucasus, in particular for his interview with Interfax in support of peace initiatives for the Chechen Republic.

On November 14, at the meeting with Mintimer Shaimiev in the Kazan Kremlin, Chairman and CEO of the United Technologies Corporation George David said about the arrangement to place up to 25% of the production volume of new engines for Kazan helicopters MI-38 and Ansat on the basis of the Kazan Motor-building Production Association. George David offered the support on the part of the world famous company Sikorsky Aircraft, a member of United Technologies, in selling the helicopters Ansat abroad.
The President of Tatarstan stressed that he had always supported preservation and further development of aircraft construction, because this sector is a base for further progress of Russia. In this connection, Tatarstan urgently needs opportunities for cooperation with foreign companies, for studying their experience.

On Saturday evening, leaders of the future chief centrist party - Sergei Shoigu, Yury Luzhkov and Mintimer Shaimiev came to the Kremlin. After the conversation with Vladimir Putin they told the precise name of the organization headed by them - "All-Russian party "Unity and Fatherland".
