The President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated the President of Azerbaijan Ilkham Aliyev due to the Republic Day, Turkish Weekly reported.

The IX International Theatre Festival "Nauruz" opened Wednesday June 3 in Kazan. A ceremony of monument’s unveiling to one of the Tatar theatre founders – Ilyas Kudashev-Ashkazarsky was held at the hall of Tatar State Academy Theatre named after G. Kamal. Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Culture Zilya Valeeva participated in the event.

Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting with a delegation of Schneider Electric on June 3. The meeting took place at the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers. RT Minister of Economy Marat Safiullin attended the meeting.

Preparation for the fifth anniversary Golden Minbar Film Festival to be held from September 27 to October 4 in Kazan has started. Over 200 art and documentary films for 18 countries were received by the festival directorate. All were submitted to the selection committee.
