A working group headed by Tatarstan Minister on Youth Affairs, Sport and Tourism Marat Bariev paid a visit to Belgrade, Serbia to discuss issues of organizing an internship of volunteers from Tatarstan during the XXV Summer Universiade.

The Tatarstan’s key oil producer Tatneft intends in 2010 and 2011 to recover in Tatarstan 25.4 million tonnes of oil. Besides, 350 and 370 thousand tonnes are to be recovered outside Tatarstan at licence areas in Russia by the company’s subsidiaries, and 120 and 375 respectively outside Russia.
The Tatarstan Prime Minister Roustam Minnikhanov on the Day of Russian Entrepreneur met with Tatarstan businessmen at a video conference. Attendees were over 1,000 businessmen from across Tatarstan.
A group of German and Austrian automobile travellers going through all Russia to Baikal will visit Kazan from 27 through 29 May. All those who are interested in seeing unique vehicles – houses on wheels – can do so at the Kazan Fair on May 28. Automobile travelling by houses on wheels opens up a new page of tourism development in Kazan.
OAO Kazan Motor Production Association attended the Technical Council organized by AO Intergaz Central Asia that considered issues of gas equipment supply to the Kazakhstan market. The talks resulted in an agreement to continue cooperation.
The meeting of the anti-drug commission in the Republic of Tatarstan was held at the Kazan Kremlin on May 27. Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the meeting.

A large-scale international water polo tournament will be organized in Tatarstan capital this summer. University teams from European countries are expected to participate in it. Vice-President of Sintez water polo club Irek Zinnurov informed about this competition on May 25.
The Tatarstan’s oil, gas and petrochemical industry accounts for nearly two thirds of industrial investment. The Tatneftechiminvest Holding’s general director Rafinat Yarullin said in a report at an annual shareholders’s meeting that in 2008 investments in the industry had totalled a record figure of 64.7 billion roubles. One third of the amount has been disbursed in oil refining.
The RF Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced results of the competition consisting of 17 sections for the title of the best Russian exporter 2008. For the tenth time in succession, OAO KAMAZ has been acknowledged the best exporter of the Russian Federation in the section Mechanical Engineering. OAO NEFAZ, KAMAZ’s affiliate, became Russia’s best exporter to the CIS countries.
The KH deputy general for external economic relations Valery Pashko has today told Tatar-inform of the results of the plant’s participation in the HeliRussia 2nd international show.
