On November 28, Tatarstan State Counsellor, member of the Board of Guardians of Russian chess federation Mintimer Shaimiev and 12-time world champion, deputy of State Duma of the Federal Assembly Anatoly Karpov visited men’s and woman’s superfinal games of Russian chess championship at “Khazine” national art gallery at the Kazan Kremlin.
Results of the open regional youth contest of social ecological advertisement “Pure vision” organized by Tatarstan Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources were summarized at Kazan IT-park on November 28. The judges selected 15 projects in nominations social video, short film, video made on a gadget, social poster and photo project.
On November 27, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Aide to Russian President Igor Levitin, 12-time world champion, international grand master, honoured master of sport of the USSR Anatoly Karpov, President of FIDE Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, and President of Russian chess federation Andrey Filatov took part in opening of superfinal of the 67th Russian chess men’s championship and 64th Russian chess women’s championship. The competitions will be held on November 27 - December 8 at Khazine gallery, the Kazan Kremlin.
On November 26, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and members of Tatarstan Government took part in the 4th session of Tatarstan State Council of the 5th convocation.
UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova, who visited Tatarstan within the framework of events dedicated to inclusion of Bolgar historical and architectural complex in UNESCO World Heritage List on August 20, 2014, expressed her gratitude to Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov for warm hospitality. Bokova also expressed gratitude to Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev.
On November 20, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Director General of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Russia Umit Yardym, Tatarstan Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin, Aide to Tatarstan President Leila Fazleeva, Chairman of the Committee of Tatarstan State Council on culture, science, education and national issues Razil Valeev, Director of the State historical, architectural and art museum “The Kazan Kremlin” Zilya Valeeva, and TURKSOY Director General Dusen Kaseinov took part in a solemn opening of the exhibition “Results of all centuries. The age of historicism in Russia. 1820-1890s” at “Hermitage-Kazan” center.
On November 20, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev met Turkish Ambassador to Russia Umit Yardym, who was appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Russia on October 1, 2014.
On November 20, speaking at a session of the Tatarstan Presidential Anti-Corruption Council, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the republic has put a lot of effort into anti-corruption work, but much remains to be done to overcome existing problems in a number of areas. Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, heads of ministries, agencies, and heads of municipal regions took part in the online session.
On November 14, the international research-to-practice conference “Historical, Cultural and Spiritual Heritage of Sviyazhsk” opened in Kazan within the framework of the Year of Culture. Tatarstan State Counsellor and Chairman of the Trustee Council of the Revival Regional Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev, Minister of Culture of the republic Airat Sibagatullin, Rector of Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov and other officials attended the conference.
Director of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of Siberian Academy of Sciences Anatoly Derevyanko sent a letter of gratitude addressed to Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of the Board of Guardians of Regional Foundation of the Revival of Historical and Cultural Monuments Mintimer Shaimiev saying that the archeological congress was successfully held in Kazan. 600 scientists from many regions took part in the event.
