The meeting of the Republic of Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev and Turkey Consul General in Kazan Ahmet Akynty was held on Friday, February 18.

February 16, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev visited the Aleksander Pushkin Museum in Saint Petersburg where the exhibition of the Tatarstan National Museum opened. The exhibition is dedicated to the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay.

State Counselor of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev met with St. Petersburg Governor Valentina Matvienko on February 15 in St.Petersburg. The meeting took place at the St. Petersburg Government building in Smolniy.

November 3, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev met with Valery Zorkin, the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, at the Kazan Kremlin.
