On November 28, 2011 Tatarstan delegation led by the Minister of culture Airat Sibagatullin arrived in Paris to organize and hold an exhibition at the Russian cultural centre in nominations “Bolgar historical-archeological complex”, “Sviyazhsk historical-cultural and landscape complex” from the preliminary list of World cultural and natural heritage UNESCO, and the Kazan Kremlin as an objects of UNESCO World heritage.
Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of supervisory board of the Republican fund of historical and cultural monuments Mintimer Shaimiev is on a working trip to Italy by the invitation of Director-general of the International Centre for the Study and the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) Munir Bushenaki.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the IV convention of Council of municipal formations of RT. RT State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, RT Premier Ildar Khalikov, Chairman of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin, heads and representatives of all 989 municipal formations attended the event.
Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev met with Chairman of JSC “Rosnano” Board Anatoly Chubais. Mintimer Shaimiev told about cultural-historical project of federal character “Cultural heritage of Tatarstan: ancient town of Bolgar and Sviyazhsk isle-town”.
A monument to the victims of political repressions and exhibition dedicated to Sviyazhsk prisoners of the XXth century opened on island-town Sviyazhsk on October 30. The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counselor of RT, Chairman of board of guardians of the Republican Fund for RT Historical and Cultural Monuments Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the ceremony.
The opening of the buildings of the Dormition of the Mother of God Monastery and the Trinity Church of the John the Baptist Monastery were opened after renovation and restoration in Sviyazhsk, Tatarstan on September 3. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Russian Transport Minister Igor Levitin, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and ministers and heads of agencies as well as residents of the island attended the ceremony,
A ceremony of laying a symbolic stone in the construction of a mosque and a chapel, to remember the victims of the Bulgaria shipwreck, has today been held in the village Sukeevsky Vzvoz (Kamskoe Ustie region). Russia transport minister, Tatarstan President, Tatarstan State Counsellor, Tatarstan Religious board chairman, St Nicholas Cathedral superior and relatives of Bulgaria victims were present during the event.
Today, the Education Center for school-aged and preschool children opened in Sviyazhsk. Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Republican Foundation Vozrozhdeniye (Revival) Mintimer Shaimiev attended the opening ceremony.
