Each republic of the Russian Federation has its own specifics, the level of economic development and the intellectual opportunities, but all of us aspire for Russia to became a democratic federative state, told President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev in interview to National TV of the United Arab Emirates on June 8. This is a basic uniting moment since the interests of people of different nationalities, different faiths is possible to guarantee only in a democratic federative state.

Opening a press conference held May 30 in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev said that the republic develops within the framework of the parameters determined by the forecast to the acceptance of the budget. Having marked improved economic parameters in all directions, he specified that the volume of industrial production, in particular for the last four months made 108 percents to the planned.
