Leadership School has opened at Kazan State University’s Board for Social and Educational Work. It was decided to make good the deficit and create a team, which will be involved in earning and developing student self-administration. The school participants will develop communicative skills, oratorical skills, etc.

The 7th exhibition from the State Hermitage museum collection will open in Kazan in April 2010, State Hermitage Deputy Director Vladimir Matveyev said on Tuesday. He came to Kazan to take part in opening of the exhibition 'The Children of Gods'.

Tatarstan within the Sochi 2009 international investment forum signed 4 agreements with Russian regions and foreign firms. Tatarstan Economy Minister Marat Safiullin told about the results of the Tatarstan delegation’s work at the forum at a briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers.

Presentation of the Internet portal “The Republic of Tatarstan Culture” was held yesterday at Tatarstan Ministry of Culture. The project was realized as a part of the republican special-purpose programme “Development and using informational and communicational technologies in RT for 2008-2010”.
The main purpose of the project is creation of Tatarstan’s virtual cultural space and its integration into the world informational space. All information on the website was divided into 9 thematic blocks: heritage, traditions, creativity, education, cooperation, ethics, charity and sponsorship, communities, and cultural industries. That this project is open to the public – users have an opportunity to write comments, participate in surveys and thematic discussions.

Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Culture Zilya Valeeva has started a video blog. The video blog is available on “The Republic of Tatarstan Culture” Internet portal. Presentation of the website was held yesterday at Tatarstan Ministry of Culture. Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister made an address telling about the new project, its importance and peculiarities.

The international investment forum Sochi 2009, attended by the Tatarstan delegation, has ended in Sochi. A stand in the Tatarstan’s display area was dedicated to the special economic zone Alabuga, said today the zone’s press service.

First-year students of Tatarstan’s top-ranked universities have to undergo a selective countercheck of USE results, organized by RosObrNadzor (Federal Education and Science Supervision Service), till the end of September.

During this year Republic of Tatarstan will receive about 2,4 billion of roubles in total for realization of the Priority National Health project. Republic carries out 16 directions of the project into practice. Three supplementary projects of the National Health project started to be realized in Tatarstan in 2009. They are: formation of population’s healthy life-style, improvement of blood-service organization, setting up health care services by road traffic incidents on M-7 federal route.
