October 28 saw the 4th Forum of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia –the Islamic World” continuing in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Mintimer Shaimiev, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, delivered speech as a main rapporteur at the first meeting that focused on today’s state of affairs in international relations.
October 27 saw the ceremonial opening of the 4th meeting of the Starategic Vision Group "Russia - the Islamic world" taking place in the Jeddah Conference Palace.
October 27, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mintimer Shaimiev, departed for Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to take part in the Fourth Forum of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia - the Islamic World”.
October 23 saw the meeting of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mintimer Shaimiev, and the head of the Federal service for supervising natural resources of the Ministry of natural resources and ecology of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Kirillov, taking place at the Kazan Kremlin.
The meeting of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan of the third convocation opened in the conference hall of the RT State Council on October 22. RT President Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the meeting. The key issue at the meeting was the draft budget for 2009 and for the planning period of 2010 and 2011.
October 21, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev met with the Director of the Venice Film Festival, Marco Muller, and the Director of CTC-Media Inc. Aleksandr Rodnyansky, at the Kazan Kremlin. RT Deputy Prime-minister - Minister of culture Zilya Valeyeva, RT Minister of education and sciences Nail Valeyev, Rector of Kazan State University Myakzyum Salakhov and Director General of the broadcasting company "CTC-Kazan" Gulyara Zaripova also took part in the meeting.
October 20, Mintimer Shaimiev, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, held a meeting with heads of large enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan at the Kazan Kremlin.
October 17, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev met with prominent Russian film director Eldar Ryazanov at the Kazan Kremlin. RT Deputy Prime-minister-Culture Minister ZIlya Valeyeva also took part in the meeting.
