The board of the RT Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing got together to sup up the achievements in construction, housing and communal branches of Tatarstan in the Ak Bars centre on February 6. Mintimer Shaimiev also took part in the meeting.

The meeting of the Council of the heads of the municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan chaired by RT President Mintimer Shaimiev was held in the Kazan Kremlin on February 6. The main point on the agenda was policy in the sphere of salaries and wages. RT Prime-minister Rustam Minnikhanov, RT State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin, RT First deputy prime-minister Ravil Muratov, heads of municipal districts, ministries, departments and large enterprises of the republic attended the meeting.

President of Sport Fighting Federation of Russia Mikhail Mamiashvili addressed a letter to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev. Mikhail Mamiashvili congratulates the head of the republic on successful performance of a sports woman of Tatarstan in VII International Competition of Female Fighting in Grand Prix of Ivan Yarigin.

February 4, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev visited the exhibition of works by Zurab Tsereteli, the President of the Russian Academy of Arts, people’s artist of the USSR and Russia, taking place in the National Gallery Khazine in the Kazan Kremlin.

People’s artist of Tatarstan and Russia, laureate of State awards of the USSR and Tatarstan, Chairman of the Theatre Union of the Republic of Tatarstan Rinat Tazetdinov marked his 70th anniversary not so long ago. President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated Mr. Tazetdinov and presented him with the Order of Merit before the Republic of Tatarstan in the Kazan Kremlin on February 2.

January 31 saw the opening of the 35th session of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan taking place in the Salikh Saidashev Grand Concert Hall. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan delivered the Annual Address to the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan.

January 29, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev visited the Zelenodolsk district of the Republic of Tatarstan where he took part in the opening of the Ice Palace in Zelenodolsk and visited the hothouse plant ‘Maiski’ in the village of Osinovo.

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev passed on his condolences to the head of the Bugulma district, Nail Magdeyev, on the tragic death of the children caused by a snowslide.

January 23, Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev met with Colonel General Aleksander Fedorov, the Secretary of State – Deputy Director of the Russian Federal Service for narcotics traffic control at the Kazan Kremlin.
