After regular meeting in Moscow G8 Sherps arrived in Kazan where they continued their work on preparation for G8 Summit in Saint Petersburg on July 15-17, journalists were informed by organizing committee of the Summit.
Within the framework of the trip they had a meeting with Mintimer Shaimiev, President of Tatarstan.

President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev received in the official residence, at the Kazan Kremlin Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kingdom of Sweden to the Russian Federation Juhan Mulander.

Today almost two-hour conversation between President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev and general director of FGUP "Rosoboronexport" Sergei Chemezov took place in the Kazan Kremlin.

May 12, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev received in his official residence in Kazan Kremlin Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Mongolia to the Russian Federation Mr. Luvsandandaryn Hangai.

Today RT President Mintimer Shaimiev has handed the state awards of Russia and Tatarstan to scientists, civil servant, workers of culture, public health services, education, industry, economy, construction, agriculture. Mintimer Shaimiev before the beginning of festive ceremony made a speech devoted to assessment of the yesterday's Address by President of Russia Vladimir Putin to Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

On May 10, RT President Mintimer Shaimiev will take part in the meeting of the Federal Assembly, whereat President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin will pronounce his annual Address.

The festive meeting devoted to 61-st anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic war, was held in the Kazan Park of Victory. Veterans of war and workers of rear were congratulated by President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev.

Today President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated veterans of Great Patriotic war and workers of rear on the eve of 61-st anniversary of Great Victory.

By resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation as of April 25, 2006, JSC "KAMAZ" has been awarded with prize of the Government of the Russian Federation of 2005 in the field of quality.
